Brave Enough to Cry

FROM A 12 HOUR JAM TO AN ALMOST COMPLETE SONG

Those of you who have followed the 101 project from the start will probably recognise this song. It was born out of a 12-hour jam session in Lund, Sweden. There I met Aaron English and Sousou & Maher Cissoko for the first time. We started jamming 9 o'clock in the morning and we kept on until late evening.

From that encounter two songs were born. "Brave Enough to Cry" and "Like Water".

Here you can hear what my dear friends Tapiwa Shoko, Hassan Bah, and Taras Kuznetsov have added. Taras is such a multi talent and you will hear his backing vocals ans some piano parts as well. You can also enjoy percussionists Victor and Karen from Colombia.

Most of the video shots are made by two highly talented film makers: Alex Casas filmed in Dakar and other places in Africa and Lorenzo Scaraggi shot clips of Aaron when he visited Puglia. Before the final video is ready we will of course do more color correction and fine tuning of the audio as well.

So this is an example of how a piece is maturing over time if you open up for global collaboration with people who love music.
